High Temperature Superconductors
Electronic Structure Studies

Group T-12 is a contributor to a Laboratory-wide effort in high-temperature superconductor research. Our group has focused on electronic structure calculations of cuprate superconductors. The superconductors are modelled with clusters of atoms cut out of the solid. The clusters are then treated as molecules and standard techniques of quantum chemistry are applied in the elucidation of their electronic structure properties.
